Challenge: I was looking to find a simple, elegant, and somewhat portable chess set, but ultimately decided to create my own.
Impact: I crafted this modern chess set with a simple scroll saw and minimal tools and designed a cube housing that stores the board, which attaches magnetically to itself across the centerlines of the board.
