Polywood shares a long history of successful Adirondack chairs (particularly the folding AD5030 and many variations). The design team was tasked to create a new luxurious non-folding set of larger Adirondack chairs. The desire was to craft a set of chairs that gave the sense of sitting on a throne and being able to comfortably relax while enjoying higher style than previous Adirondack chairs. The result was the Classic Curveback, Nautical Curveback, and Modern Curveback Adirondack Chairs. I hold a utility patent on the design of one of the connecting tables.
