Role: Lead Designer
Challenge: We were challenged to create a high-end, mid-century modern take on the Adirondack chair (and a two-seater Adirondack chair) along with a side table and coffee table to be sold in a few combination sets through Costco. Now it is only available on Polywood’s site.
Impact: With the deep understanding of our material’s strengths and weaknesses, I devised a robust chair and bench. The bench utilizes a clever cantilever approach to the support structure. The coffee table also was a first of its kind from Polywood that utilized simple tubes captured underneath to provide structural rigidity.
