Role: Aesthetic and Usability Lead Designer
Challenge: Current high-CRI lighting solutions were poorly deployed and difficult to configure in automotive paint inspection lines, among other applications. At AVID Labs, we aimed to create a solution to this project as a team of a mechanical engineering, an engineering manager, and me.
Impact: I provided the CAD modeling, rendering, usability, and aesthetic design that ultimately led to the RAIL (Rapid Application Industrial LED) System: a modular T-slot channel LED paint inspection lighting system. I share a utility patent on the design.
