Role: Lead Designer
Challenge: Following the success of the AD400 series chassis, Target aimed to provide a low-cost, high-style Adirondack chair and 2-seat bench with a matching side table.
Impact: I redesigned the rear support legs, the back, and the front of the chair as well as the slat alignment for the seats to accomplish a stylish and trendy new Adirondack chair aesthetic. This was translated into the bench design, which utilized an efficient tube-capturing support system that I proposed.
