Challenge: As part of the full suite of instruments being redesigned for the partial knee offering for DePuy Synthes, a new set of impaction tools were required.
Impact: I worked alongside our R&D engineers to develop a few of the crucial impaction devices that serve as “hero” instruments for the collection of new tools used for partial knee arthroplasty surgery.
More images will hopefully be available soon, but below is the completed set, which features the tibial impaction tool black horizontal tool in the center of the image and the femoral inserter, which is the black-handled instrument with silver claws to the left of the blue tibial trials in the middle tray.
